My Heart, Your Heart

This year we're asking people around the world to make a promise ... for my heart, for your heart, for all our hearts

A promise as an individual to cook and eat more healthily, to do more exercise and encourage your children to be more active, to say no to smoking and help your loved ones to stop. A promise as a healthcare professional to save more lives. A promise as a politician to implement an NCD action plan.

A simple promise… for MY HEART, for YOUR HEART, for ALL OUR HEARTS.

Cardiovascular disease is the world’s number one killer today. But it doesn’t need to be this way. By making just a few small changes to our lives, we can reduce our risk of heart disease and stroke, as well as improving our quality of life and setting a good example for the next generation. It’s about saying to yourself, the people you care about and individuals all around the world, “what can I do right now to look after MY HEART… and YOUR HEART?”

Dr. Somnath Mallakmir is Consultant & Interventional Cardiologist based at Nerul Navi Mumbai.

He  is  director of Soham Clinic and cardiac diagnostic center  at Nerul,Navi Mumbai. Soham Clinic and cardiac diagnostic center is state of art advanced Cardiac & Genetic  clinic with diagnostic facilities based at Nerul NaviMumbai since last ten year. Soham clinic has facilities like Cardiac Consultations,  Genetic  Consultations  and counseling  , Multispecialtilty OPD Consultations , Health checkup Plans, Hypertension clinic ,Diabetes clinic , dietician consultations,  Electrocardiogram , Adult & Pediatric  transthoracic Echocardiography & color Doppler, Tissue Doppler , Dobutamine echocardiography , stress echocardiography , Trade Mill  Exercise stress testing , Holter monitoring , Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring , Peripheral Doppler, Ultrasonography , X-ray , Pathology lab. 

                      He is also consultant & Inventerventional cardiologis  doing all  cardiac interventional procedures  like coronary  angiography , coronary angioplasty ,cardiac cath studies ,  pacemaker implantations, device closures, balloon valvoloplastis   at D.Y.Patil Hospital Nerul, NaviMumbai ,  MGM ,Hospital Vashi,NaviMumbai, Terna Speciality hospital & Research Center ,Nerul,NaviMumbai. 

                       Dr.Somnath Mallakmir has  completed his medical education from Govement Medical College ,Miraj ,  (MBBS); Govement Medical College ,Miraj ,  (MD General Medicine); and D.Y.Patil School of Medicine ,Nerul , NaviMumbai. Mumbai (DM Cardiology).Dr.Somnath also has awarded  PhD in Cardiology  which is   highest academic qualification in field of Cardiology from D.Y.Patil School of Medicine,Nerul ,NaviMumbai. He also associate professor,Department of Cardiology  at D.Y.Patil School of Medicine ,Nerul ,Navi Mumbai .

Aim & Objective of Soham Heart Foundation

1. To create awareness regarding heart disease   amongst society.
2. Take care of patients with heart disease.
3. To do counseling of patient with heart disease regarding symptoms, sighs, diagnosis and treatment 
4. To plan for the facilities of prevention, early diagnosis & treatment of Heart Disease.
5. To provide moral support to patients and their families with heart disease.
6. To conduct awareness campaigns, camps, lectures, seminars about the heart disease among the masses.
7. To support people with heart disease by regular health checkups & medical facilities.
8. To do rehabilitation of patient with heart disease.
9. To educate people with heart disease regarding diet, exercise, treatment and prevention.
10. Awareness creation through media and direct intervention at different target communities and beneficiaries.
11. To conduct seminar/conference for medical upliftment mainly in the field of Heart diseases.
12. Help the poor patients to undergo timely cardiac intervention /  heart operations to have new lease of life.
13. To celebrate world heart day
14. To spread awareness on heart and other organ donation, collect and manage data on organ and blood donors, for use in times of need
